Blackbaud is expanding its India footprint with a new facility in Hyderabad's Financial District. The 45,000 sq ft office will anchor the company's customer operations function—a strategic move as GCCs increasingly own end-to-end service delivery, not just backend support.
“We’re now about 700 people at HITEC City and set to launch our new site in the Financial District soon. Over the next 12-18 months, between the two sites, we expect to have a headcount of 1,000 people, if not more, driving a lot of our global work out of India,” said Rajiv Gajria, Vice President and Managing Director of Blackbaud India.
This mirrors a 3-year trend: enterprise software firms are shifting ops roles to India to blend domain expertise with cost efficiency. Blackbaud joins 1,800+ GCCs we track that are redefining what "operations" means—moving beyond process execution into strategic customer impact.
📌 Career angle: ops roles in GCCs are no longer commodity plays. They demand problem-solving chops and customer acumen.
