WACKER, the German specialty chemicals giant, is establishing a Global Capability Center in #Pune with HCLTech. The move signals a shift: multinational manufacturers are now treating India not as a cost play, but as a digital transformation hub.
“The GCC is an important step in strengthening our global delivery and digital execution capabilities,” said Fabian Seibold, director of Wacker's excellence hub Pune. “Leveraging our expertise in DevSecOps and automation, HCLTech will help build a high-performing team, strengthen governance, enhance operational efficiency, and accelerate digital modernisation,” said Kiran Cherukuri, executive vice-president and global GCC practice head, HCLTech.
HCLTech will anchor the GCC, handling digital modernization for WACKER's operations. This mirrors what we track across 1,800+ GCCs—enterprise clients want their transformation partners embedded in the same center as execution.
