Milacron, the injection molding and extrusion equipment leader, just inaugurated its first Global Capability Centre in Coimbatore.

Suraj Thodimarath, Managing Director, Milacron India, formally inaugurated the office with key members of the leadership team Mac Jones, CEO, Tim Mulligan, CFO of MTS, Kristen Jackson, CHRO, VP & Andy Stirn, VP of Technology & Innovation.

This move signals a major shift: tier-1 industrial tech firms are now anchoring GCC operations in Tier-2 cities beyond the Hyderabad-Bengaluru duopoly. Coimbatore's engineering talent pool and lower cost structure make it a natural fit for equipment R&D and backend operations.
