Magnum Ice Cream Company just launched a 67,000 sq ft global capability centre in Pune. Consumer goods giants are consolidating GCC footprints in tier-2 metros—Pune now hosts 1,800+ GCCs across tech, finance, and ops.
Its inauguration was attended by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, alongside senior state government officials and TMICC executives.
Abhijit Bhattacharya, chief financial officer of The Magnum Ice Cream Company, said: “This is about much more than opening a new office – it represents an important step in TMICC’s long-term growth strategy. Our highly skilled teams here power TMICC operations around the world and drive innovation in AI, analytics, automation, and digital transformation.”
Why this matters: premium FMCG brands are shifting from pure cost arbitrage to talent density. Pune's talent pool in supply chain, digital commerce, and analytics is outcompeting legacy GCC hubs.
📍 If you're tracking GCC expansion patterns, this signals where multinationals see 5-year talent stability. Magnum's bet = Pune's infrastructure matured.
Which other FMCG players do you expect to announce Pune GCC moves next?
