CIENA NAMES NEW INDIA COUNTRY LEADER

Ciena has appointed Prashant Ramesh Malkani as Vice President and Country Leader for India.

The telecom infrastructure play is doubling down on the subcontinent—a strategic move as Indian GCCs scale engineering and product teams across networking, cloud, and 5G stacks.

📌 For GCC professionals: leadership reshuffles at global tech firms often signal talent acceleration plans. Ciena's India footprint matters—we track 1,800+ GCCs here, and vendor-side VP appointments typically precede hiring surges in R&D and customer engineering roles.

Have you seen similar moves at your company signal a hiring wave?
