Alight Solutions, US-headquartered HR tech firm, just opened its third Chennai office at DLF Cyber City. 30,000 sq. ft. space. 400+ engineering and tech roles filling now—Benefits Administration and Leave of Absence solutions teams.
This is a textbook GCC expansion play. Alight is betting Chennai's talent density can scale global delivery. Per GCC ERA's tracking of 1,800+ GCCs, this mirrors the shift: Tier-2 cities now absorb specialized tech hubs, not just back-office volume.
📌 Career angle: If you're in benefits tech or platform engineering, Chennai just got a serious new employer. Collaboration-first office design signals they're hunting senior ICs, not junior throughput.
Are you watching Chennai GCC openings, or still locked into Hyderabad/Bengaluru?
