    GCC careers in India

    01What is a GCC?

A GCC is a Global Capability Centre — an offshore office that a multinational owns and runs itself, rather than outsourcing to a vendor. Staff are on the parent company's payroll and work on its core products, engineering, finance or analytics. India is the sector's largest hub.

02How is a GCC different from an IT services company?

You work for the brand itself, not for a vendor billing that brand. There is no client-project churn, no bench, and the roadmap you build is the company's own. That usually means clearer promotion paths and direct exposure to global leadership.

03Why do GCC jobs pay more than comparable Indian IT roles?

GCCs benchmark pay against the parent company's global bands, discounted for local cost, rather than against Indian services rates. They are also cost centres competing for scarce talent, not margin-driven billing businesses. The gap is widest at senior individual-contributor and leadership levels.

04Which Indian cities have the most GCC jobs?

In our live dataset Bengaluru leads by a wide margin, followed by Mumbai, Gurugram, Hyderabad and Pune, then Noida, Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Kochi and Coimbatore. Bengaluru alone carries roughly twice the openings of the next city and the widest spread of employers. This reflects the roles we currently track, not the total market.

05What kinds of roles do GCCs hire for?

Software engineering, data and analytics, product management, cloud and platform, cybersecurity, finance and controllership, HR operations, supply chain and shared services. The mix has shifted heavily from back-office support toward product ownership and R&D. Many GCCs now run global functions end-to-end from India.

06Do I need prior multinational experience to get into a GCC?

No. GCCs hire heavily from Indian IT services, product startups and campus. What they screen hardest for is depth in one area, evidence of ownership, and the ability to work with global stakeholders across time zones.

    07What is GCC ERA?

GCC ERA is a career intelligence platform built only for India's GCC sector. It runs AI job matching against live GCC openings, builds ATS-ready CVs, produces MBB-grade career reports, and benchmarks salaries. Everything is tuned for GCC hiring rather than generic job-search advice.

    How the products work

08What does AI Job Match actually do?

It reads your CV, scans live GCC job openings in India, then scores and ranks them against your profile. Matching combines meaning-based (semantic) search with keyword search, and an AI model re-ranks the shortlist. Each role comes back with a percentage score and a short reason for the fit.

09Are the matched jobs real, current openings?

Yes. Matches come from real listings collected in our database, not sample data. Every card links out to the actual posting so you apply at the source. You can refresh to pull in roles added since your last run.

10Why does every match show a score and a reason?

So the ranking is auditable instead of a black box. Each role carries sub-scores for skills, role, experience and domain, plus a one-line explanation. You can see why a job surfaced before you spend time on the application.

11What is the Career Intelligence Report?

It is a 24-section, MBB-grade report built from your CV. It covers salary architecture for your target GCC role, sector-matched companies, a 90-day action plan, STAR interview stories and an ATS gap analysis. Every benchmark is set against India's GCC market.

12How long does the Career Intelligence Report take?

It is generated after you upload your CV and pay. It renders on the page and is also emailed to you. Long reports generate in stages, so you can close the tab and come back.

    13What is CV Studio?

CV Studio is an AI CV builder with a live ATS score that updates as you edit. It offers ATS-parseable templates including two-column layouts, AI rewriting, generate-from-a-prompt, job-description matching and one-click cover letters. You can import an existing PDF or DOCX CV, or your LinkedIn profile.

14Will a CV Studio resume pass an ATS?

Every template is built to be machine-readable, and the live ATS score tells you in real time how well your CV parses against a specific job description. It flags the keywords and skills the screen is looking for. No tool can guarantee a pass, but this removes the formatting and keyword failures that cause most rejections.

15What is the GCC Grade Interview Coach?

It is a premium voice mock interview that runs a real spoken conversation, then returns a scored PDF report. It assesses structure, evidence, communication and role fit. It costs ₹1,099 as a one-off, or is included in the Edge Plan.

    16What is the Prep Plan?

The Prep Plan builds an interview prep pack from your CV and a specific job description — five plans for ₹499. It maps the likely question areas, your gaps and the stories to use. It also unlocks the mock interview flow.

    Pricing and refunds

17How much does the Edge Plan cost?

The Edge Plan is ₹1,999 for one year, GST included — about ₹167 a month. It bundles the paid GCC career tools, which cost ₹7,892 bought separately, so you save ₹5,893. Access starts the moment payment clears.

18What is included in the Edge Plan?

AI Job Match (₹1,499/yr), AI CV Generator (₹2,399/yr), Career Intelligence Report (₹599), GCC Grade Interview Coach (₹1,099) and Prep Plan (₹499). It also includes Job & GCC Insights, Salary Intelligence and the interview framework library at no extra cost. All for one year from purchase.

    19Can I buy products individually?

Yes. Career Intelligence Report is ₹599, Prep Plan is ₹499, GCC Grade Interview Coach is ₹1,099, AI Job Match is ₹1,499/year and AI CV Generator is ₹2,399/year. The Edge Plan is cheaper than any two of them together.

20What can I use for free?

You can build a CV and see your live ATS score in CV Studio at no cost. AI Job Match gives you a free run with your top scored roles, your GCC-readiness score and your ATS score after you sign in. The CISSP and PMP kits include full study material and one complete free mock exam each.

    21How do I pay?

Payment runs through Razorpay — UPI, cards, netbanking and wallets. Prices shown include GST and are fixed server-side, so there are no charges added at checkout. A GST invoice is emailed automatically.

    22What is your refund policy?

Payments are non-refundable by default, because these are digital services delivered immediately on payment. Refunds are considered for duplicate payments, money debited without the service being provisioned, activation failures on our side within 24 hours, or an outage over 72 consecutive hours. Email [email protected] with the subject “Refund request”, your Razorpay payment ID and the purchase date.

23How long does a refund take if approved?

We acknowledge a request within 2 business days and give a decision within 7 business days. Approved refunds are processed in 7 to 14 business days to the original payment method. You will get the decision in writing either way.

24Can I cancel an annual plan?

Yes — you can turn off auto-renewal at any time from Dashboard → Helpful Links → More. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you keep full access until then. The unused portion is not refunded prorata.

    Data and privacy

25What happens to my CV after I upload it?

Your CV text is used to run your match or build your report, and it is stored against your own account so you do not have to re-upload. It is never published, never made crawlable and never sold. In AI Job Match the file is read in your browser before the text is sent.

26How does GCC ERA handle India's DPDP Act?

We operate under India's Digital Personal Data Protection framework. Your data is tied to your account, processed for the purpose you gave it for, and you can request access or deletion. Our Privacy Policy sets out the legal basis and retention periods.

27Can I delete my account and my data?

Yes. Request deletion from your account settings or by emailing [email protected]. There is a 30-day grace period before data is removed, so you can reverse a deletion you did not mean. Deleting an account with an active paid plan forfeits the unused portion.

28Do you sell my data to recruiters?

No. We do not sell your CV, contact details or activity to recruiters, employers or data brokers. Job matches are computed for you and link out to public postings; nothing is pushed to an employer on your behalf without your action.

29Do you store my card details?

No. Payments are handled entirely by Razorpay, and we never see or store full card, bank or wallet credentials. We keep only the payment reference needed to grant access and raise your GST invoice.

30Is my Career Intelligence Report visible to anyone else?

No. Your report is private to your account. It is not indexed, not shared and not visible to other users. Our support team can open a report only to resolve an issue you have raised.

    Job matching mechanics

31How many GCC jobs are in your database?

More than 45,000 live GCC listings carrying a full role description, refreshed on an automated sync. New roles flow in continuously, so a refresh a week later returns a different set. Listings whose source posting has expired are filtered out rather than shown.

32Why do some matches score higher than my dream role?

The score reflects fit between your CV and the posting, not desirability. A role you want but are underqualified for will score lower on the experience and skills sub-scores. Use the gap analysis to see exactly what is missing before you apply.

33Can I filter matches by city or company?

Yes. You can search across multiple cities at once — matches return jobs in any of the cities you select — and filter the result set by company. City search and saved roles are Edge Plan features.

    Salary data

34Where does your GCC salary data come from?

Salary benchmarks are built from GCC job listings in our own database together with aggregated market sources. Figures are shown as bands for a role, level and city, not as a single number. Bands are directional; treat them as a negotiation reference, not a quote.

35How current are the salary benchmarks?

Benchmarks are re-based against the current hiring year and refreshed as new listings come in. Bands for high-volume roles in Bengaluru and Mumbai are the most reliable, because they have the most underlying data. Thin-data roles are flagged rather than guessed.

    Account and access

36Do I need an account to use GCC ERA?

You can browse jobs, salary benchmarks and articles without signing in. You need a free account to run an AI job match, save a CV, or buy anything. Sign-in is by email, Google, LinkedIn or Microsoft.
