Rehearsal is the gap, not knowledge
Interviews at Global Capability Centres in India tend to blend three things. A competency or behavioural round. A role-specific technical or case round. A fit conversation about the company and the team.
You can study for all three. But the biggest gap for most candidates is not knowledge. It is rehearsal out loud, under a little pressure.
Reading your answers silently feels productive. Saying them to another voice, in real time, with follow-up questions coming back at you, is a completely different skill. That is the gap mock interviews close.
Build your prep on your actual CV and the actual role
Generic prep only gets you so far. The best preparation is anchored to two documents you already have.
Your CV. Every line is a potential question. If you led a migration, expect "walk me through that". If there is a gap, expect "what happened here?"
The job description. It tells you which skills, tools and behaviours the panel will probe.
Put them side by side and you can predict most of the interview: the likely questions, the stories you will tell, and the gaps you need to close before you walk in.
Rehearse with structure
For behavioural questions, STAR keeps your answers tight and complete.
Prepare five or six STAR stories from real experience that you can flex across many questions: leadership, conflict, failure, impact, ambiguity. Rehearse them aloud until they are natural, not memorised.
Why practising out loud matters
Practise silently and you skip the hardest parts of a real interview.
A live mock, with a voice on the other side and follow-ups you cannot predict, exposes all of this while the stakes are zero. Make your mistakes in practice, not in the room.
Where an AI voice mock fits
A live AI mock lets you rehearse on demand, as often as you need, without scheduling around a friend or mentor. Done well, it should anchor the questions to your CV and target role rather than a generic list, talk with you in real time including follow-up questions, and give you an honest scored debrief afterwards, not just "good job".
The debrief is where the learning lands. What was strong, what was vague, and what to fix before the next round.
GCC ERA's GCC Grade Mock Interview
The GCC Grade Mock Interview is a real-time voice mock anchored to your CV and target role, followed by a scored, honest debrief. It is a spoken interview. You talk, it asks and follows up, and afterwards you get a scorecard you can review in your profile. There is a mic-check pre-flight so your audio is set up before the interview begins. ₹1,099 per session.
A shorter voice mock interview is available at ₹499 per session if you want to test the format first.
Alongside them, the Prep Plan is a number-led study plan built from your CV and the job description, giving you likely questions, STAR stories to prepare, and the specific gaps to close before the interview. ₹499 for five plans.
Many candidates generate a Prep Plan first, rehearse against it, then run the live mock to pressure-test their answers out loud.
All three are included in the Edge Plan at ₹1,999 per year, along with the AI CV Generator, AI Job Match and a Career Intelligence Report.

A mock interview and a debrief make you better prepared and more composed. They do not guarantee an offer. Real panels vary and outcomes depend on the whole picture. Use the practice to sharpen how you communicate real experience, and treat the score as feedback, not a prediction.
Frequently asked questions
What is a GCC Grade Mock Interview?
A real-time voice mock interview anchored to your CV and target role, followed by a scored debrief you can review afterwards in your profile. ₹1,099 per session, or included in the Edge Plan.
How is it different from reading interview questions?
It makes you answer out loud, in real time, with follow-up questions. That builds composure and fluency silent reading cannot.
Should I use the Prep Plan or the mock interview first?
Many people generate a Prep Plan first to map likely questions and prepare STAR stories, then run the live mock to rehearse those answers aloud.
What is the STAR method?
A structure for behavioural answers: Situation, Task, Action, Result. It keeps your responses complete and concise. Prepare a handful of STAR stories from real experience and flex them across questions.
Does a mock interview guarantee I will pass?
No. It makes you better prepared and more confident, but real interviews vary and outcomes depend on many factors. Treat the debrief as feedback to act on.
Do I need a microphone?
Yes. It is a spoken interview. There is a mic-check step before the session so your audio is working first.
